I’m county councillor for Epping and Theydon Bois and represent Epping Hemnall ward on the district and town councils. On the district council I lead the Liberal Democrat group and take a particular interest in planning issues – working to protect the special character of our area including the Green Belt around Epping and Theydon Bois.
On the county council as well as taking up many highways issues I am a member of the Essex Pension Fund Strategy Board and a substitute member of the People and Families Committee where I have been looking particularly into residential and home care issues.
I grew up in Epping, then moved to Theydon Bois with the family and now live in St John’s Road in Epping. I am involved as a volunteer with a range of local organisations and am a school governor at the primary school where I went to school.
In my spare time I enjoy running with Loughton AC and Orion Harriers, especially in Epping Forest. I April 2016 I ran the London Marathon in 2:59:12, raising funds for the Heart of Epping Appeal and Epping Forest CAB.
