All the results are now in. The Liberal Democrat highlight in Epping Forest is a victory in Epping & Theydon Bois, where Janet Whitehouse overturned the Conservative majority

- Andrew Smith, UKIP: 581 (10%)
- Tony Frankland, BNP: 306 (5%)
- Daniel Kieve, Green Party: 219 (4%)
- Simon Bullough, Labour: 192 (3%)
Total number of votes cast: 5,859
Turnout: 45%
Majority: 401
Ann Haigh narrowed the Conservative majority in Buckhurst Hill & Loughton South but unfortunately wasn’t able to close the gap completely. In Ongar & Rural Derek Jacobs maintained second place while Pat Brooks and Matt Lake took third place in Waltham Abbey and North Weald & Nazeing respectively. However our vote was squeezed in Chigwell & Loughton Broadway and in Loughton Central.
Overall we still have a Conservative controlled Essex County Council but with a strengthened Lib Dem presence (up from eight councillors to twelve) and Labour reduced to just one solitary single (and presumably slightly lonely) representative.
